Wave Runner linked to a family of champions.
Our foundation mare Wave Runner was born 13 November 2003. Gama Breeding, was established by Mike Atkins and Greg Adlam in 2016 following the purchase of Wave Runner. The aim of Gama Breeding is to be a credible source of good quality, well bred, stock for any harness racing enthusiast to enjoy.
Wave Runner, winner of 8 herself and 32% top three finisher relative to starts, has produced raceday progeny providing 71 wins in Australasia and the USA; and an impressive 46% top 3 raceday finishers with 8 of her 9 raceday starters having won races for an 88% winning rate of her progeny. Wave Runner was born and raised at one of NZ’s most famous standardbred studs, Tuapeka Lodge, and raced by Gama Breeding owners Mike and Greg as part of a four part syndicate. Anthony Butt being the winningest driver with 4 wins.
Unfortunately checked out of the 2008 Harness Jewels when 2nd ranked qualifier.
She was small in stature, however possessed a big heart and a strong sustained sprint. Best illustrated in this win as a 4YM at Addington Raceway on 4 April 2008.
