Sand Wave makes it Five in a row

… and 6 wins from 11 starts. Sand Wave cemented his place as the leading qualifer for the $50k Group 2 Alabar Southern Supremacy Stakes Final to be run at Invercargill on 30 April 2022.

Aided by a peach of a drive from trainer Nathan Williamson (who had 5 driving wins on the day), Sand Wave scorched home in a 27.1 last quarter to get up by 1/2 head over a quality field including Mossdale Ben, Street Hawk and Cantfindabettorman. Recording a last half in 55.3 and winning time of 1:55.1 for the mile at Winton Raceway. You can watch him in action here.

He’s ineligible to start in any further heats and will now most likely to head to Addington for a couple of warm-up runs before the final.
