Wavethebill is “pretty in pink”

31 January 2023 - Tabcorp Park Menangle, NSW

In customary fashion driver Robert Morris pushed forward to lead from barrier 5 over the 1609m mobile. A 27.8 opening quarter was offset nicely by a 30.2 second quarter, which meant Wavethebill (WTB) had plenty in the tank to storm home in 26.3 over the final 400m by a comfortable 7.5 metres. An overall time of 1.52.7.

Today’s win being WTB’s 5th victory since arriving in Australia (in October 2022) and his 7th career victory. Watch a replay of the race here. He’s clearly enjoying life in the warmer climate (almost 40 degree summer days at present) and looking sharp in the new black nose roll, albeit not as pretty as Molly Ringwald in the 1986 American teen romantic comedy-drama film.
